iOS 5

So I was up all of last night trying to install iOS 5 on my iPhone. I got that damn 3002 error 17 times until it actually worked. Turns out it was a fault of Apple.

Anyway, I am really enjoying the new features. The Notification Center, iMessage, Reminders and especially iCloud are my favourites. I'm already using iMessage as an alternate to MSN. Reminders are really helping me keep up with some graphics requests and the Notification Center is just amazing.

I am extremely impressed by iCloud. I was testing it a few moments ago. I deliberately left my phone at my Grandfather's house and went home to test the "Find my iPhone" feature. It worked a treat! It detected my phone's location in a matter of seconds and it even allowed me to remotely lock it and send an emergency message to it.

But that's not my favourite update. The iCloud photo streaming is simply epic. I take a photo on my phone and it pops up onto my computer's screen within 60 seconds. Just amazing.

What do you guys think? Do any of you have it yet?

Nice! I'm using the iPhone 3GS at the moment, have been for the past 2 years. Once my contract runs out on the 28th, I think it is, I'll be purchasing the iPhone 4S. Can't wait to try out Siri.

I just updated my 3rd Generation iPod Touch to iOS 5. I'm loving it right now.

I got the same error McStormify, I tried everything possible and after the 3rd attempt to restore to factory settings and install it worked and automatically backed up everything back. So I'm happy. I love the update and the notification center is amazing, been using it since day 1 of the install. iMessage is pretty neat to, though insecure if people know your email and message you. There should be some sort of add friend feature there.

Overall its great.

Just installed it now. Now I am waiting for my phone to sync because for some reason it restored my phone and wont really allow me to restore it from a backup. But so far from just playing around with it for a few min it looks awesome 🙂

Apple has done a great job this time.

Updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 5 and I love it. iMessage and notification center are the 2 high points in my opinion. A great upgrade!

I started upgrading but then my sister-in-law thought it would be funny to restart my computer, thus cancelling the update. I was so frustrated I played angry birds....

And never did update.
