I thought about buying the IP.Blog that you can get with IPB. But I notice you can add a coupon when starting to purchase it. So before I do purchase it does anyone have a coupon code for it by chance?

Also the main question is.. Is it worth it to get IP.Blog? Because I don't want to spend $50.00 on something I won't use much. I never used IP.Blog before on any IPB forum so I would like to know the features of it, etc.

I'd recommend using WordPress and bridging it to the rest of your site. I don't know how, but I'm sure it's possible.

WP is free and has a huge community of mods.

I would reccomend WP also, and save your money. Just because its paid dosent mean its always the best... plus if you dont like WP you can then go to IP.Blog, but will be difficult the other way around... if you buy IP.Blog and dont like it that will be a waste.. good luck.

I havent really used it. If you are going to use it as a stand alone blog, I'd just use wordpress. The reason people use IP.Blog is because it can integrate with the forum seamlessly.

IP Blog is for your own users to create blogs. If you want a blog like WordPress, IP. Content is your man. However, you can just use IP. Converge to link your WordPress and IPB database - it's tricky to set up, but it gets the job done without having to spend $50.

Since you said IP.Content I will look more into that I asked some people I might just get it instead. I don't know yet still but I might.

I strongly advise you find a way to take a look at IP's software if you can. Possibly a trial or through a friend. Also try WP.

I already got a IP.Board license forever. 🙂 (Well still gotta renew every 6 months.)

I mean a trial of the content portion, unless that's included with your package right now.

Oh no they don't give a trial to the IP.Content or any of the paid addons on the list. Only one they give you a trial on is IP.Chat.

Ah. Bummer. I'd suggest looking for in-depth review and/or videos online showing everything it has to offer.

The Invision Power website is powered by IP.Content, and I've tried IP.Content myself. If you are looking to create a website that is integrated with your forum, I suggest it. If just a blog, IP.Blog is very nice as well.

I second this. IP.Blog is more to host your blogs for your users. You could make a homepage and a few other things using IP.Content, and it's honestly their best app (I previously thought it was Downloads).
