How do I install a MOD for IPB 3.1.4?

What MOD are you looking at adding? Most MODs have an installation guide either in the file you download or on the download page.

They are xml files when you download mods.

Usually upload the files included in the ZIP and import the XML file via hook system. Pretty easy. 🙂

Now I added the Global Forum Message MOD, how do I make something a global message now?

In the ACP, click Manage Hooks under 'Applications & Modules' on the left side. There should be an arrow you can click on the right.
