IPB questions

I want to ask some questions before I buy it next friday.

#1 - Will it last forever? (as it its optional to upgrade not forced, etc)
#2 - It will be lastest IPB version?
#3 - Will I be able to have access to IPB MODs and themes forever aswell?

Thats about it.. 😛 I am asking this because $150.00 is alot..

I perfer to get IPB off the offical site I don't really trust off sites like that.. I rather pay the $150.00 if its worth it than lost $50.00 to that site for nothing.

Well once you own the license you will own your IPB forever I'm guessing, and I think upgrading is free once you own a license, and it's optional too, at least that's how things work when you own a vB license, so I think, same thing goes for an IPB license.

You buy a one off license and then you have to pay for renewals. Some MODs you have to pay for separately though.

I got my questions answered. The IPB license is forever you only got to pay for upgrades every 6 months which is optional. All MODs are free they said on the support forum.

Thats about it.. 😛 I am asking this because $150.00 is alot..

1.) You do not have to pay for the upgrade until you want to. Until then, you can use your license but you just don't get upgrades and support.
2, 3.) You get the access if you get the payment in. If you buy a fresh license, you get the access to download all that stuff for the first six months.

And $150 is nothing. A new vBulletin license is $195 without ticket support and $285 for the whole suite.
