Does anyone know how I can use someone's comment to get their IP and ban it?

Yeah, sort of. When they make a comment, the IP is recorded in the Comments section. Grab that IP and do a .htaccess block on it. Tutorial on Blocking IPs

No worries. Also, I came across this plugin: WP Ban

Could be a good alternative, but this is just for the WP blog; .htaccess can block the whole site, including images etc.

I use a plug-in that determines if the post is spam or not. Its very accurate and you can go through its selections and approve something its marked spam, its like 99% accurate though. I've seen a few different versions of them, might want to check it out.

2,552 spams caught, 97 legitimate comments, and an overall accuracy rate of 99.887%.

I said all the comments was spam for me
so I had to approve them manually
