Email from Apple yesterday saying they've sold 5 million iPhone 5's they're going well.
How are you getting these e-mails? I'm a subscriber to their e-mails but I only get product updates.

I have been searching like mad for one but they are all sold out!
That's why you pre-order! 😛

Its the quality, Android freezes often, has low quality apps in android store with less stability and less games/apps. I was considering getting galaxy s3 but the quality of the iphone is much greater. Its not because its a brand its because its has good quality.

I have experience of both the iPhone and Android Galaxy S2. I can tell you that the Android does not freeze often as you say (In fact I never experience any freezing at all on any Android Device). It also has higher quality apps compared to the iPhone. Also less stability? I really do wonder where you get some of this made up information from. 😛

Also when you say it has less games/apps than the iPhone I would say they're pretty much equal in games/apps.

Edit: Last thing to say honestly.. From experience with both any iDevice is a over rated and over price piece of junk people are crazy enough to throw money into. 😛

Doesn't really surprise me to be honest!

Re: iPhone 5 unveiled

Seeing as Android was originally created my friend's dad (before he sold it off and joined the board of developers as an overseer) I trust that Android is a solid product.
I have used it. While I prefer Apple products simply because I'm accustomed to them (iPhones, iPods, etc), the Android field of the market is definitely something that can catch up with Apple.

Apple caught up to Microsoft, and now Microsoft (once the king) is dying. So, don't put down Android in a heartbeat if 1. You haven't tried it. 2. Are focusing on its current state instead of its future state. and 3. Are an Apple lover (like me), but (unlike me) are unwilling to try out different products.

Re: iPhone 5 unveiled

Yeah, as a point of reference as to how popular these are for some reason. I preordered on Sunday or Monday, not sure, and it's still going to be about three weeks before I get one LOL.

Re: iPhone 5 unveiled

I feel like I should get this phone but I have been loyal to Droid phones but I would totally recommend this phone to people who enjoy apple products though! I think this will be a great new invention!

All Apple needs to do now is make a TV that can be controlled with a touch screen!

And one more thing. I don't think Apple was found Guilty of infringing patents in court and has to pay a company 1 billion dollars, like SAMSUNG!

Don't even go there my friend....Apple are just a bunch of damn people that say they invented this and that when it had been made before...they just managed to improve it and then called it theirs -.-'

I hate apple fan boys. I'm personally not a fan boy of either but I will always go for Android no matter the phone....simple as that. I hate being restricted.

Re: iPhone 5 unveiled

And android is just a bunch of damn people that copied Apple! Android sucks, plain and simple.

Apple didn't really invent the things, except the personal computer really. The iPhone is the same. There were no in home computers to the average person before 1972 and the iPhone there was no other touch screen.

Re: iPhone 5 unveiled

iPhonefrea,, you seem to have a bias simply because you LOVE iPhones. If you are saying that Android copied Apple you are wrong, unless copying consists of simply making a phone that is similar.

If you think Apple was the first company to create a tablet PC, you are mistaken. Steve Jobs had thoughts about it back in the day, but so did others and others actually created them!
Microsoft Tablets in 2001: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Tablet_PC
Take that iPad.

Apple created the personal computer? I'd prefer to say that they contributed to the creation of the personal computer. Microsoft for example was a group of hobbyists who were creating personal computers (PCs) for a while, but just didn't market or sell them.

As taken from Neowin.net:
This is perhaps one of the biggest tech rivalries in the world, but the question I’m exploring today is which company came first? Which was the first to release an operating system? The first to release a tablet PC or smartphone? The first to create a billionaire?

The question of when the companies were founded is a pretty easy one. Microsoft came first, founded in Albuquerque, New Mexico on April 4, 1975. Apple followed nearly exactly a year later on April 1, 1976 in Cupertino, California.

The interesting thing, though, is Apple was technically the first company out of the two to release an operating system that used a graphical user interface (GUI). On January 24, 1984, the guys behind Apple released “Mac System Software 1.0” on their original Macintosh commercial computer. This was almost two years before Microsoft released their extension of MS-DOS on November 20, 1985: Windows 1.0. It also wasn’t particularly successful.

However, it took both companies a considerable time to develop a major overhaul to their respective operating systems. Microsoft was the first company to release a major overhaul of their OS with Windows 95 on August 24, 1995, followed by Apple with Mac OS 8 on July 26, 1997. While OS 8 saw Apple sell a nice 3 million copies in six months, Microsoft sold a whopping 40 million copies in the first year on sale.

Also, for interests sake, Apple managed to slip in just months before Microsoft, releasing Mac OS X 10.0 “Cheetah” on March 24, 2001; Microsoft released the phenomenally successful Windows XP on October 25, 2001. Of course this didn’t stop Microsoft taking the vast majority of OS market share right up until today.

As it states there (and the information is valid), that while Apple got their product on the market quicker, Microsoft started working on their stuff earlier. Furthermore, you can see that even with an earlier PUBLICIZED start (not an overall start) Mac was unable to defeat Microsoft for the longest time.

So, before you state that Android sucks and Mac is the all-worthy heir to the throne of human love, desire, and cult like behavior - read up on your facts.

Note: I love Apple. I use an iPhone, use a MacBook Air and probably never will use Android or head back to PC ever again. Yet that is simply because I'm accustomed to Apple products. When I converted to Apple products from other OS devices I found it hard to use as it was unfamiliar.

And I've spent years studying this, so don't you dare tell me to read up on my facts. Yes, android did copy Apple. And I do admit I'm a little biased, but I will admit when an android or non apple smartphone is better then the iPhone. I was stating the Samsung galaxy SIII was better then the iPhone until the 5 came out.

And yes, I did know that apple didn't come out with the first tablet, but they certainly was the first in over several years.

The reason why Wndows took off is becuase it was cheap and useless. Same standards here, you get what you pay for. Bad OS for a cheap price, and windows was cheap and it was just bought becuase it's something new and really cool. I have a Windows 7 PC myself, so I'm not biased here.

True, Microsoft was founded first, doesn't mean it was the first to invent some thing.

iPhonefreak, I own a MacBook Air and love it. But for advanced hardware and usefulness for MANY things (careers hobbies etc) windows is better and cheaper
