Ok, so i jailbroke my iPod Touch 2G about a week ago, then i noticed it lagging a lot and since my computer was being repaired i couldnt restore it so i went into the settings where you can erase all content and data (this is what my friend did, although he said it can take a long time) so i left it on overnight, when i got up i found the ipod on the apple logo, it then turned off, and restarted, it got to the apple logo and did the same again, it now keeps repeating it, i plug it in and neither the pc or iTunes recognizes it, and i cant put it into restore or dfu mode so i cant do anything on it.

Help!!

Also it is about 7 months out of warranty.

Run the battery out, then charge it on your computer. The computer should recognize it, and try to put it in restore mode.

You'll need to put it on restore mode like the user above said.

1. Open iTunes
2. Press and hold the power button and sleep/wake button.
3. Release right before you think the apple logo would appear. (~10 seconds)

Have you tried that?

Banging it on a table worked for the old videos. Bit don't do that for this model lol.

Done this so many times, so much win.

try wiping the music through the USB port. So open it as a disk (not in iTunes), wipe the music off it and it should work..
