Is a promotion forum worth it?

Hi i have found a couple of domains that could be used for a promotion forum but are they really worth running?

You could see how well FP is doing however there are lots of promotion forum which dies out

For any forum you have to be really dedicated, but for a Promotion forum you'd have to be even more due to the time consumed doing various of things.

All rely's on you. Can you put an effort and a good months worth of dedication into it. Do you believe that you can do, you need to have that eye for advertising, you need to know how to run a forum. You need a brain for new unique services. You need the eyes to really see if your worth it.

Unless you actually run an advertising forum, you won't understand how much work it is and stress you have. The bigger the forum and the bigger the community the more stressful it is and the more work there is. If you work hard and stick at it then you have every chance of making it a success. It takes more time per day then you think.

Agreed. I just posted something about this on another forum yesterday..
Promotion forums are only popular in the little pocket of the internet that uses them. The same group of people are on every one of them.

I have noticed that if your on one promotion forum you are generally on them all and ill have to think long and hard in the new year.

Only do a promotion forum if you know that you can be dedicated to your forum for its entire life. In the beginning, it's stressful. When it grows rapidly, it'll be even more stressful. So don't even THINK about it unless you can handle stress.

I've tried running a promotion forum, and trust me, it's not worth it. If I were to go back to owning a forum again, it would be general chat as that is what I like. I tried a promotion forum, until I remember all the problems that Forum Advertiser went through as far as hiring and keeping staff members. I didn't want to go through that same ordeal. Promotion forums are hard to maintain, whereas general chat are fairly easy to maintain. So in my opinion, it's just not worth it. Besides, there are already too many promo forums out there as it is. One more forum will really not make the difference.

Only if you have loads of time, ideas, great staff, and you are dedicated.

Trust me, it's a load of headaches and not much fun to run as it grows. I suggest saving yourself from the nightmare of running one if I were you and do run some other type of forum.
