I have seen this topic debated before, some say it's bad some say it's good some say a few a day is ok?
What do you think about it?

Beer is good!

I'm a diabetic, so I don't drink at all, but I don't think beer's terrible for you, unless you start hitting the bottle a bit too hard. Moderation 😉

I'm anti alcohol / liquor. It causes problems and it's a gate way to addiction. I've seen what it does to people. We're better off without it. I would like to see it dumped into the ocean. Boston Tea Party anyone?

I get what you are saying however many just use it to socialize and know when to stop, it's like most things we use today, it can be addicting.

I started making boundaries not to be around people when they drink. Drama, fights, and getting thrown up on often happens. Even baby sitting someone who is drunk out of their mind is extremely stressful. My father had a drinking problem and that really opened my eyes. Because he was one of those types that got real mean when they drank. His wife was much of the same way, they would both drink and then they'd come into my room late in the hour and keep me up all hours of the night ranting and raving at me over things that didn't matter. I was between the ages of 13 and 15 when he pulled that bulls***. I turned around and moved back in with my mom. The judge ruled in her favor when I expressed distress about his drinking problem. He lost custody real quick.

It was in my 20s because I overdid it.

Now in my 30s, I have a cut off limit. I don't drink enough to get drunk anymore and have no interest in that. I'd rather be the family man that I am 🙂 Don't want to 16 year old to have to witness any of that.

But I very socially drink a few IPAs. I only like IPAs and mainly for the taste.

Personally, I think it can be good until you let it not be good.

Technically, there are no benefits to drinking, let alone drinking every night.

You could see weight gain, liver issues, it could eventually affect your sleep patterns, or even develop a dependency to alcohol. Some people have a genetic predisposition to certain health issues brought on by alcohol consumption.

Alcohol has cancer risks for people who abuse it. Same also goes with non-nitrate-free hot dogs/sandwich meat, colas and some other stuff.

I'm of the opinion that almost anything done in moderation is good for you whereas almost anything done to excess is harmful.

A few beers now and again isn't going to do much harm but drink to excess and eventually you are going to have problems.
