I'm amazed out how successful our forum has been. Before we started IGI, I visited literally hundreds of other religious forums looking for ideas on everything from rule sets to modification packages. Almost every forum I found had turned into a ghost town. Even scarier, we were told beforehand by pretty much everyone that a forum either had to be run by and promote either atheism or a particular religion.
Our idea was to officially promote neither and be managed both believers and agnostics. We focused on making a fun, friendly environment, devoting about half of the forum to non-religious boards. Our intent was for members to get to know each other as people and not just representatives of Christianity or atheism, and it's worked. 200,000 posts later, we're still around. The staff at IGI deserve a lot of credit for all their hard work. IGI members are Quakers, Catholics, Calvinists, agnostics, Jews, and atheists, and we're a pretty fun crowd. Come see what we've done. Come join us.
