Is Google Analytics Dodgy?

Sometimes Google Analytics under report, when I check it in the host control panel, the stats are higher than GA. But then again those stats could be wrong as well.

That is because your hosting control panel's stats logs users who have JavaScript disabled. They should be the same or higher than google analytics, with this in mind.

Either people liked to directly visit your site from bookmarks, feeds etc. or there is a slight issue. It is gradually lowering right?

It is however, its still an exceptionally higher number than the first 20 days.

I can't confirm as I had Awstats off for most of the month. However, I got it turned on for the 30th of April for about 20 hours, and it recorded 90 unique, 150 visits and 1442 hits. I compared that with GA and its has it as 117 unique so I would say its quite close.

Maybe I have attracted a large audience 😕

Yeah especially with advertising on administrator based forums like FP. Forum administrators seem to be more interested in SEM these days. Reap the audience and continue the content 🙂
