Is it an improvement?

I got a LOT of negative feedback about the design on my website. I've never really made a website design before, and I'm not that great with CSS; my website looked like, well, shit (too put it simply).

I want your feedback and tell me which theme you prefer and if I did a good job of improving:

Little bit. But you still need to concentrate on lot of stuffs.

First of all you can increase the width. The header image with stripes doesn't look good. Just use an image without stripes and less gradient. Also, try to place a logo too.

And concentrate on color scheme. Blue and yellow won't co-exist. 🙁

Yellow will stay the same. It won't be seen much.

I think the whole design lacks any type of appeal to it, you should try out http://www.colourlovers.com/ or another website to find a color scheme to go with.

It needs a logo, Almost every type of website needs a good logo.
