I'm not sure how legal it is to rip songs from YT videos since if companies don't want their song to be ripped, they wouldn't put their music videos on YT, but I think there is a very slim chance of being prosecuted for ripping songs from YouTube videos compared to limewire, Kazaa, and bittorrent.
Plus, the songs which are ripped from YouTube are poorer quality then most MP3 songs which you download from file sharing networks like Bittorrent.
However, when ripping songs from YouTube becomes more popular, I'll bet the RIAA probably might sue websites, and people for ripping their songs.
