Is Mel Gibson a good person?

He seemed cool and even progressive in the Lethal Weapons Series, while still being a compassionate conservative. Anyway, in the last 20 years, drunken comments and The Passion of the Christ, have branded him a grumpy extremist.

Well he's had a series of racist rants caught on tape so is he a good person? Well, he obviously has problems but considering all of the stuff coming out about some Hollywood people with sexual harassment, assault, rape etc.... I couldn't really say he's the worst that town has to offer. But he's certainly a person with personal demons.

It seems to be more to do with drunkenness, far-right junk food, than the real him. However, though, at least Mel has a soul (even if it's troubled). Most of Hollywood is fake.

I disagree that celebrities are supposed to be anything other than human. I mean, I'm not impressed at Matt Damon giving Africans free water, LOL. However, though, an actor who is a total scumbag beyond repair would be easy to hate (and hence you wouldn't want to be a fan).
