I'm on the fence about this question, because Obama is almost semi-socialist, but I'm not sure quite yet if I would consider him one since he does not claim to be one, but he is supporting a lot of socialist tactics and point of views.

If you ask anyone in a socialist nation, or a really hard core communist or socialist, they will, as I said, laugh in your face. To them, Obama is just another rightist.

A guy who fled from one awhile back to the US actually said he fears Obama making his new home socialist.

I think he is a really hardcore communist.

Seriously.. I can understand having a distaste with his policies, infact I don't like Obama really either. He's not left wing enough for me. Obama is not a socialist, but he is supportive of general socialist ideas, and attempting to offer national health care. Also offered in Canada. I'm sure you have seen the Canadian ads where they advertise that their healthcare isn't working and America should not take part in national health care, but that is not misinformation. I had a teacher who was from Canada, while still having family over in Canada, and she moved to America because of their healthcare system when she had an illness. Overall, Obama is not a socialist, but remember who pays Uncle Sam, even though it may seem our uncle is paying for it, we, the american people, pay him to disturbute our wealth to the less fortunate. Nothing wrong with that, but I believe in equal opportunity.

I can confirm that the one regarding illegals is completely untrue. Obama actually went onto a conservative radio show yesterday and said specifically that illegals will not be covered by this.

That said, I don't really know where any of this is from because there is no real " health care bill " even drafted yet in a serious form for passing by the full house and senate.. I will be checking into these things individually to validate them. The illegals one is definitely not true, which makes me lean towards this is all a bunch of bull what you're looking at.

If you just look at the way it's written, It's written to scare people. It's funny that the actual text isn't actually shown in this summary you have.

income redistribution is the first policy of socialism and so far everything obama does is nothing but that. the rich paying for the poor. on top of that the healthcare reform is a joke. nobody will ever get treated for anything. why do you think people from canada come to america for healthcare?
