With the rise of AI, do you think Search Engines are going to rely more and more on AI and do less in terms of SEO?

Do you think websites, blogs, and communities who depend on SEO will be given the bad end of the stick, if you will?

Or do you think SEO is strong and that AI will never be able to threaten its existence?

Let's talk about the future of SEO and AI here!

well, it's down to the person, I mean we choose to use it or not, regards AI

SEO isn’t dead—it’s still relevant and will remain a core part of the internet. It has evolved into multiple aspects, especially with the rise of AI.

With AI, we now focus on the answer engine aspect of SEO instead of just the traditional approach. I firmly believe that SEO is strong and isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. It has survived over 15 years and will outlast AI.

AEO is a specialized approach to optimizing content for AI-driven search engines and voice search assistants.

Unlike traditional SEO, which focuses on ranking in search engine results, AEO aims to directly answer user queries.

Do you use it or do you not use it?
I never used AI for SEO. I have used chatGPT to ask questions XD but not web-related stuff. On that note $20 a month, No thanks. So free it is but you only get to ask 5 times before you have to wait the next day

I pay for it but I use it a lot. I like learning about AI. 🙂

No, Google will always prefer unique content. However @cpvr has informed me that Google plans to add AI specific searches.

Search engines are already using AI to transform SEO making it more efficient and user friendly.

Not at all. I believe AI will help give more weight to user created content.

SEO's future is without a doubt going to be AI driven. I don't see a threat, more a marriage between the two.

I hope you're right about all the above.

I still feel it's good to diversify our marketing tactics, though, and try new things.

Even though they continuously tell us SEO isn't dead but it looks like SEO is half dead, thanks to AI chat bots and AI overview in search results.

Yes, it’s already happening quickly

There are noticeable shifts in click through rates, and many users do not click into websites from chat interfaces

I think websites should bring in chat interfaces to keep their visitors busy, and also focus on AI discoverability - make it easy for AI to recommend your website… schema.org, structured data, good URL taxonomy, enumerable content / site maps / etc

SEO isn’t dead, but it has evolved. Traditional tactics like keyword stuffing and backlink spamming no longer work. Today, SEO focuses on user intent, content quality, page experience, mobile optimization, and authority. It’s more about creating value than tricking algorithms.
