Is soda bad for you?

Soda is definitely bad for you. There is no such thing as moderation once you get into the habit of consuming it daily. I had sleep apnea due to the soda consumption that kept me awake for hours at night.

You mean "pop"? 😀 That's what we call it where I'm from.

I try to limit my intake of carbonated beverages to when we go out to eat and that's not very often. I have loved sugary things all my life but as I get older I notice that I'm just not as into it as I used to be. What's happening to me??? :cyclops:

It is really bad if you doing it too much. A for "too much" i mean if you drink it instead of water - then you will have problems with blood sugar and other stuff. If i were you i would check with www.giamcandep.vn/ and start taking care about your health and body. Started dieting and exercising. Way better than chips and soda.

Of course it is there have been studies showing the effects of drinking even three sodas a day

Soda and coffee are similarly addictive - but soda is simply "pure garbage". It's been shown to cause cancer - though, not as strongly as tobacco.

A better idea is to get orange juice for energy and if you must have caffeine - drink coffee.

I'd prefer the lemon juice, even with or without salt and sugar in it.

There is no way you will offer me soda that will make me to drink it. I hate the way soda tastes in my mouth, so I don't drink it at all. Soda is bad for me.

It's probably bad for you if you consume too much of it. If you drink it in moderation, I don't think it's that bad.

Store bought soda tends to be bad for you, but you can get stuff with real sugar cane that isn't as bad, or make it yourself. Fun fact, Honey, Cilantro, and lime are the only key ingredients you need for the original Cola. The Cilantro and Lime create a reaction that tastes and smells similar to coke and is what cola was based around. So, you can simply add other stuff to that to make a natural soda which isn't terrible for you. If you're a diabetic you can even use Erythritol which is an actual sugar that a lot of diabetics can actually use for a sugar replacement. I think it takes 1 and 1/3 cups to equal the same taste as 1 cup of sugar so it's not that bad, just a little on the pricey side.

While I do drink soda. I do wholly admit and that I am aware that it causes bad teeth, heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, and arthritis.

doesn't hurt you if you had one or so a day not like 50 a day for 365 days a year

Soda was listed on this one site along with nitrate-rich hot dogs as cancer causers. Nonetheless, it's very tough to stop drinking them. Well, I can and do moderate on hot dogs and grilled food.

Well, there's no need to be a "goody two-shoes". Nonetheless, it's good to fast from the stuff occasionally and it makes it more enjoyable when the fast is over.

About non-sugary sodas: isn't the whole "aspartame is dangerous"-thing debunked? I remember watching a documentary where they tested it out, and found out that it is dangerous for your kidneys (I think?) only if you drink a full tub worth of soda each day over a period of time, while normal and even a high intake below that isn't dangerous at all.

It's terrible for the kidneys, which are vital, so heavy or moderately excessive consumption should be balanced with exercise and healthy food.

Of course, this is a bigger deal if you're over 40.
