The Digital Divide refers to any inequalities between groups, broadly construed, in terms of access to, use of, or knowledge of information and communication technologies.[1][2] The digital divide in the United States (and other countries) refers to inequalities between individuals, households, businesses, and geographic areas at different socioeconomic and other demographic levels, while[3][4][5] the Global digital divide designates countries as the units of analysis and examines the divide between developing and developed countries on an international scale.[2]

Yes, there is a slight digital divide among the poor where I live since there are people who can afford smartphones, cell phones, laptops, tablets, eReaders and PDAs while there are still some people who still don't have mobile portable computers.
However, it is pretty easy for most people to have access to a desktop computer and high speed internet connection where I live even if they can't afford a desktop and Internet since almost all Libraries, Schools, and Community Centers have broadband internet and desktop computers for people to use for free. All people have to do is walk to their closeiest Library or College to use the internet and their computers for free.
