Sounds like a good computer for 300 dollars for doing everyday computing tasks like e-mail and social networking, homework and personal finances, or casual Web browsing and online shopping.

It is cool that it comes with a 18.5 inch monitor as well.

That is a great deal, it can do any normal every day task. It could also do pretty good for casual gaming. (I wouldnt try anything hardcore like crysis though).

I would go for it.

If you upgrade the video card to a mid-end PCI-Express video card which cost about 150-200 dollars you may be able to play many average to more demanding games.

Crysis been out for a few years, so if you set the quality setting to low and your video monitor resolution to a lower setting like 800x600. You maybe able to play Crysis at a playable framerate.

Anyways, this is a great office, and student computer for someone with not a lot of money, but still want to watch HD videos, play games at lower quality settings, and do work.

If all you want to do is browse the internet, watch videos/DVDs, and maybe play some lower-end games, then this should be good enough.

From what I have heard upgrading some parts can be hard and it doesn't have build in wireless connectivity (not sure on that one). It's ok, but it's not the highest of the range. Probably wouldn't be good in intensive video editing either.

Return it if you don't like it 😉

Pretty good buy, do you code? Like 3000 lines per day in the minimum?
If not, then yes that's a good buy.

Any desktop is easy to upgrade. It doesn't matter on the maker. Most desktops do not have built in wireless, because most of the time they will be connected via Ethernet and stay in one spot.

The only reason one would want a wireless card on the desktop is if it is sitting to far from the cable modem.

If you don't know how to upgrade a part, you can search YouTube for video tutorials on how to add RAM, PCI-Express video card, and other parts to your computers motherboard.

You can also get a USB Wireless adapter for 20 dollars or less on eBay, or Amazon, so not having Wireless on a desktop is not that big of a deal.

For $300 that is pretty alright but personally I would never buy a computer less than 4GB RAM. Also, the processor of that computer is not very good. I'd say that computer (especially on Black Friday) should be $250.

I got my computer in June of this year for $350. 4GB RAM AMD Vision E-350 Processor with 320 GB HD.

So I say it wasn't a very good buy.

I agree. It depends on what you would do, but if you find anything better than compare it to this one and don't find anything better, get it. I don't see a whole lot wrong with this to be honest.

Was looking at this deal this morning. Problem is that it's been 7 years since I bought a new computer and it was a Dell. It's been OK but it's obviously a dinosaur now. I don't do a lot of gaming, but do like to occasionally. Mainly like to browse the internet and watch videos/movies/tv shows, some social networking. The kids like to get online and play games though on their fav sites. Looking to get a newer, better computer to do all that on and move the old one to just be a "word processor" basically. I'll keep my Office stuff on it. Oh yeah! I also like to take pics and want a good photo edit program but there's NO WAY that can happen on my old one. It's only 140 gb hard drive and it's full. Very slow and freezes up. So, if someone can point me the right direction for a good desktop that would suit my needs, I would greatly appreciate it. We're so out of touch that I don't even know anymore what the best brands are, minimum sizes to look for, etc.
