As Jordan mentioned, it's a little hard to read the text, particularly at the top of the forum as that's where it's brightest.

Pardon me for this comment. I will develop a headache by looking at your homepage for long. The background doesn't jive well with the font size and color. Hmm, maybe it would look better (for me, at least) if the fonts would be in dark colors and bigger. But if I were you, I would change the background. I think the blurred background is what's giving my eyes a strain that later would lead to a headache. I'm not exaggerating on this comment, the headache I'm saying is literal.

I think it's kind of beautiful, but I'm not quite sure if it's a good fit for a community. Forums are all about content, but making the background so intrusive makes the content fade a bit away.

Right, it's a good theme for a weird site, but I wouldn't want it on something else.

I had changed it to something else before you made the post, but if you choose Silver on the theme changer (on the bottom of the page), you can see what it used to look like.

Honestly, it's not that bad, but I find it too simple. Don't get me wrong, sometimes simplistic looks can really stand out, but the current site could use some improvements IMO. Although, the general color scheme is not bad, quite eye pleasing, at least for me. 🙂

I changed the theme again before Makefort made the comment. The last one is pretty decent for that niche. I wouldn't want it too modern cause it's mostly a bluegrass forum.

I just put those there so that you can see that there are some nice sites out there for the genre, especially the first one. They aren't forums though. ^^

I see that the text is small and hard to read. However you should change the logo to your own. Overall it's simple and good.

In my opinion, your head text size's too small, and text color's not abstract, so they seem to merge into background 🙂
