Yes, I think making more related videos to your old videos is the best way to promote other videos you made for YouTube.

I notice videos get added to the YouTube and Google search engine pretty quickly after new videos are published.

Plus, It is good to make videos on a weekly, or daily basis to keep people watching your new videos when they finish watching your old videos.

I also saw a video on YouTube that if you make videos with other YouTubers, the other YouTubers subscribers, and viewers may check out your channel if they like the video which you guest starred in.
