Do you think Website Flipping is a good way of making money?

I think this has some potential but you need to be very good at improving websites because you need to be able to sell it for a higher price. However, I think this is getting harder because of all the competition in the market.

If you are good at it, then yeah. If you are not good at it at all, then no. xD

I like the idea of website flipping, and in the long run you can get a ton of money. Websites go for thousands nowadays depending upon the value of the site and how you flip it, you could probably break even and more on a flip.

If you have a few website up and running and worth something you can start. I mean you need to know how to turn a website into profit or you'll fail at it terribly.

Website flipping is a good way to earn money online. But yes you need to very good at designing your website and also seo to sell it at a higher price.

I think website flipping is profitable if you know what you are doing, you know a lot about the type of site that you are flipping, and you have a substantial amount of money to invest. SEO knowledge is a must because you can have a great looking site but if you do not advertise right that don't matter.

If you content increase its content offering, double the traffic and increase the site's monthly revenue, then yes, I see website flipping as being quite profitable.

I've always thought it was interesting but not sure how one would get into it.

You will need to buy websites and improve it to sell it for more. That is the key but it is very difficult.

Very illiquid asset to have, can easily turn into a liability.

You could turnover small websites and make a slight profit, but you may as well do a part time job and it would pay better. Larger sites, at least in the $xx,xxx would be a decent range, but you'd probably have a bit of competition bumping up the price, so that your flip wouldn't be as profitable.

Not worth the time and effort unless you invest big.

This probably hits it the best. Websites tend to have huge fluctuations of value, and unless you have huge amounts of traffic or content you won't be making much money. It would probably be a better idea to try and snipe domain names and sell them, but you're probably just going to lose to bots in that market.

Website flipping is a good way to earn money online, only if you have good knowledge about SEO and ranking your website in short time.

Its easy to do if you have the right website. This includes the niche, domain, and traffic it accumulates.

It depends on your forum a lot. I know of a website being bought for $5,000 and sold for $20,000 a few months later. It was mainly due to the owner modernizing the forum. It was on phpBB; so the owner changed it to XenForo, got a new theme, and paid some people to make it active again. He probably spent $1,000 to do this, but he was rewarded pretty big later on.
