Is Windows 8.1 worth it?

I would like peoples opinion on Windows 8.1. I have considered getting it when I build my new PC. (Still waiting on the case to get here. :lol🙂

I been considering getting a copy of Windows 8.1 for it. I already have a copy of Windows 7 and can install W7 again and move it over from my current desktop to my new one, but I was thinking of getting 8.1.

What do you guys think?

Incase you need to know the specs of my new desktop when I build I will post the general specs of it below.

Processor: Intel i7-4790k 4.0Ghz
Ram: 16GB
GPU: MSI GTX 980
SSD 250GB (Slave: 1TB HDD)

I would recommend staying on your current PC. The reason is you can upgrade it free to windows 10 if you are on windows 7 or 8. Microsoft has stated that Windows 10 will launch "later in the year" in 2015. This means later this year they are doing a full release of it. 🙂

Yes, I agree. When windows 10 does get released it is probably best to wait for a bit because it can have bugs and issues in it. 🙂

I agree with everything stated above. Wait until maybe 3-6 months after Windows 10 is released so the bigger bugs get patched. Windows 7 is much better anyways than Windows 8.1. I have a Microsoft Surface Pro and prefer using my desktop Win 7.

I actually think Windows 8.1 is really nice. They eliminated most of the complaints I had with 8 in the move from 8 to 8.1.

I would suggest you to stay with Windows 7 rather than getting yourself upgraded to Windows 8.1. Windows 7 offers more promising functionality compared to Widows 8 or Windows 8.1 patch.

And you know what? I honestly preferred Windows 7. Seemed much more usable for me.

But OS X is better than all of the above. 😎

I never had Windows 8 I switched from 7 to 10. 😛
