You're still the same person - just a little different. It's not like you turned from a human into a box 😱No. My best friend from HS turned on me when I came out. Threatened physical violence that, let's just say is of a disturbed nature, and won't have anything to do with me. So no.
To them it was like announcing I was from Mars. That person felt like I had betrayed them, so they threatened to do something rather extreme when...let's just say everything is in place...You're still the same person - just a little different. It's not like you turned from a human into a box 😱
I don't understand these anti LGBT people. To them it was like announcing I was from Mars. That person felt like I had betrayed them, so they threatened to do something rather extreme when...let's just say everything is in place...
Agreed, we're still people, after all. Still human beings, trying to live our lives, just with aspects beyond "the norm" that we didn't choose and we didn't ask forI don't understand these anti LGBT people.
Until you're part of a small group of righteous church goers who belt the word of God down you! 😛Agreed, we're still people, after all. Still human beings, trying to live our lives, just with aspects beyond "the norm" that we didn't choose and we didn't ask for
I wish more religions would be open to us. Soany LGBTQ+ people are religious and want a place to belong, but because we're not "normal" by their standards, they're frequently excluded. It's a shame.Until you're part of a small group of righteous church goers who belt the word of God down you! 😛
Luckily my church is supportive. Not in the bible sense obviously but in the way they consider everyone in the community family.
Anglicans are leading the movement with supporting LGBT. A lot of Anglican churches in New Zealand are actually registered as diverse. The conference I am going to next weekend is part of the LGBT Anglican movement.I wish more religions would be open to us. I could've stayed as I was, the most privileged position in society, straight white male, but it wasn't me, it wasn't something I could be. So I'll be the nail that sticks out, and if I get hammered because of it, so be it@PGen98 sometimes easier just to be a cardboard box than actually be who we actually are. Eh?
Good, more of it! The more accepting they become the betterAnglicans are leading the movement with supporting LGBT. A lot of Anglican churches in New Zealand are actually registered as diverse. The conference I am going to next weekend is part of the LGBT Anglican movement.
I don't get so much abuse being gay but I have had a few people have their say about it.I could've stayed as I was, the most privileged position in society, straight white male, but it wasn't me, it wasn't something I could be. Yeah, fortunately anti-gay hatred has somewhat reduced from the levels in the past, but it is still out there.I don't get so much abuse being gay but I have had a few people have their say about it.
I wish I could say the same, lol, I lost so many for being trans.I've lost more friends because I can be an a-hole more than because I'm gay.
Still shootings in gay clubs overseas etc. 🙁Yeah, fortunately anti-gay hatred has somewhat reduced from the levels in the past, but it is still out there.
Life happened to all of us and we are no longer close to one another. I speak with a few of them online but haven't seen them in years. Is your best friend from high school still in your life? Why or why not?
I understand you are in New Zealand, right next to Australia. You guys don't understand what's going on outside your borders. So let's "lecture." I'm not being a dick, so please don't feel like I'm attacking you.Anglicans are leading the movement with supporting LGBT. As for the topic: I had many best friends in my early kid life, but I didn't really understand what a friend really meant or best friend(s) so I destroyed that. In my teenage years, I've grown to understand friendships, I had a best friend that ended up betraying me. I made a new best friend, that also betrayed me. Towards the end of my high school years, I gained a few long-time friends/buddies. I keep up with them via Facebook, Instagram etc.Is your best friend from high school still in your life? Why or why not?
