Motive? Well, the flotill did want to help the people in Gaza. The people are suffering because of the Zionists.
Btw certain aid supplies they were brining such as concrete and wheelchairs would have been confiscated at the port. And in international waters, Israel or any country for that matter have no right to tell people what to do.
If they were really a terrorist group why would they bring people from other countries and journalists? Their intention seems to be clear to rest of the world (help rebuild Gaza, which Israel pretty much destroyed) except for Israel, trying to use terrorism as a excuse when really the IDF are the terrorist in this attack. There are certain UN regulations allowing for the setting up of a blockade in international waters. Israel meets the requirements.
If you weren't a terrorist why would you attempt to run a blockade? Anyway, the whole goal of it was to create a setup anyway.
Of course these activists would say so. Regardless, you cannot deny their ties to terrorist groups. a French investigative judge says that when he investigated them a while ago he found terrorist ties.

I usually don't bother with Israeli politics, I call it how I see it. If this had happened with any other country I would have thought the same. However, I can't say for certain that if another country did the same, if you would be as polarized, being an anti-Zionist.
