It's All About Music - For Those Who Love Music

Members,

I'm back and will be online soon, the site has been doing real well, we moved from a Google PR of 2 to a PR of 3. I want to thank those who have
Google+ and Facebook Liked the site. Not sure what a PR3 means but my
understanding is we have enough content and visits to move us upward in the search and rank system. Thus, please keep on visiting and posting!

Special shout to DJ Anubis he did some real good shows while I was away. I also thank FullMoon from Headbangers Haven who ran the site and kept things going smooth.

DJ Anubis and FullMoon have their links on our index page in the footer please give each a Look and a Listen.

Rebel is back! You got it, my good friend has been on the site and offering ideas... He may change his name to Silent Assassin but all and all good to have him on the team.

I thank you the members for joining, as you know our traffic is for the most part from guests but it's the members that are extra special. To the bands that have joined IAAM - Thanks!

Special Shout to Method to Madness who mentioned us in their Madnessode Video.

Watch for a No Mercy CD giveaway and Factory of Dreams Autographed poster giveaway as well.

Ok, time to pick up my wife at the airport and spend some time with the love of my life, catch you all online or on the air.

IAAM welcomes yet another band/artist to its membership.

My name is Yves Potin. I play guitar since I was 15, and I listened to a lot of music at this time : Pink Floyd, Yes, Genesis, King Crimson, and also the rock and roll of the Rolling Stones among many others. I'm proud of having bought albums such as Wish you were here, Going for the one or Klaus Shulze's Timewind when they were released.

Jazz was for me like a revelation, especially the fusion styles. The first Chick Corea Elecktric Band remains one of the best groups I've ever heard and seen, with Scott Henderson playing guitar. Scott is my major influence on improvising techniques. But how could I avoid to mention Michael Brecker, Herbie Hancock, Allan Holdsworth and Weather Report among many others ? I finally had a year of Jazz classes at the CIM.

I've always been interested in computer science. During the eighties, I wrote the music you can hear on my first album, using an Atari ST with a couple of synths ; the spreading of the internet in the late nineties made me learn many things about networks and computers, especially using Linux.

During 2005, I've decided to plug my guitar again after a long break. Computers were yet powerful enough to make quite everything in electronic music ; the possibilities offered by the Internet to release albums from home, without the hassle of searching for labels, marketing, and all that stuff, gave me a real new start.
So here am I, gathering what I like the most : tweaking synths and climates and melting the results with guitar improvisations, and hoping you to enjoy my albums 🙂.

Jazzcomputer.org is Ambient Jazz Music, made of various soundscapes, at the boundaries of jazz, prog and ambient music. Lush pads, guitar improvisations, oriental percussions, hypnotic drones, jazzy harmonies, ambient grooves, Koto, Water Drums, cosmic ambiences, soothing atmospheres... 8 albums have been released so far, to download freely on http://jazzcomputer.org.

From a review : Jazzcomputer.org's music « reveals new variations and an astonishing-sensual combination of elements, motives, sounds and textures. The musical orchestration seems to flow into deep spaces, dissolving material rules to reach the listener into an unique mind travel, full of reveries and mystical projections.»

What's Hot:

Ever heard of Grooveshark.com? We now have the ability to add players to each artist's topic so you do not just see a video, but you may also listen to the songs we have loaded for the artist. Members who also join Grooveshark.com may share their playlists for a given artist on IAAM. The more players shared the better 🙂 We are strong supporters of the Grooveshark Team and we have over 600 players shared on IAAM and we expect more to come.

We do have our very own gift shop, stop by and give it a look. We have found the lighter clothing up to grey is best with the images we have, so let us know what you think, if you order let is know as well: Take Me There

ABOUT THE BAND:

Electro_Nomicon is a Band that is as mysterious as it is talented in the realms of hard rock and heavy metal. This Dream Ensemble is comprised of Band members from the United States and Argentina, yet they play in tight unison with an energy and drive that is second to none. They're not looking to meet standards, they're setting new standards. Highly original and completely dedicated to their craft, the members of E_N have played many shows including Festival status venues .

Current accomplishments include being the first band to be inducted into the Metal Monthly (http://www.metalmonthly.com) Hall of Fame. They were also voted into Metal Monthly's "Bands That Kick A**!!!!!!!" in March of 2011. E_N has worked with Stosh Jarecki of Rotary Films (http://www.rotaryfilms.com) ,who has worked on Videos with Rob Halford and many prominent television shows including VH-1. E_N has also worked with Beau Hill/ Multi-Platinum Record Producer. Electro_Nomicon is currently in rotation on FM Radio Stations around the Globe as well as many Internet Stations. E_N has held the #1 spot for Metal Bands in Seattle Wa. and Buenos Aires Argentina for many months (reverbnation). E_N has remained in the top 50 Metal Bands across the USA and top 100 Bands in the World as well. Every band strives to be different, and what sets Electro_Nomicon apart is that they don’t have to try. They are different, yet they are exactly what you’d expect, if what you’re looking for is the best in original metal. E_N is different and yet familiar; A refreshing conundrum that breaks the mold as you bang your head. Great music opens doors and Electro_Nomicon is the key. Unlock the magic.

We had a great show last nite on IAAM Radio, had listeners from Finland, UK, US, Canada, Spain and more. We had the phone line open as well, that turned out to be a hoot at times.

Factory of Dreams has provided an autographed poster for us to give away, this is not a cheap print its done on photo stock. This band is a Prog Metal Band and has been a solid supporter of IAAM for over a year and was one of the first bands that joined us.

Bands that have joined IAAM

We are not official promoters for any band, we are mulit genre music forum and radio where bands like the above simply like our format, style and station. They have provided CDs, Posters, Voice Overs and more for our members and listeners. We are relaxed and have a good time, could care less about stats and such, we seek true lovers of music so stop by and give us a Look and a Listen.

Have a great weekend.
