Hey guys, I dunno if this is the right section to post this in, but I've been experimenting with a new app for my iPhone, and it is also available for android phones also. The app is called Shopkick and I think its only available in the US so far and maybe canada.
How the app works:
Shopkick I guess is partnered with a bunch of stores and using the GPS services located within your phone, can tell when you walk into a store that they are partnered with and give you "kicks" otherwise known as reward points. In addition to giving you reward points when walking into stores, some stores allow you to scan certain UPC bar codes on products (ink cartridges for example at bestbuy) for rewards points also. Kind of like an awesome scavenger hunt 🙂
Rewards:
Once you have enough points to afford a reward you may purchase instant giftcards right from your phone. The gift cards offered include, Macy's, Best Buy, American Eagle, restaurant.com an xbox360. and a ton of other things.
How to get started:
In your app store or android marketplace do a search for shopkick and download it, it's entirely free 🙂
