You know, before Feburary, my forum was pretty much dead.

After Feburary, it got better.

But, I've realized something...

It's doesn't matter if you have tons of posts or a nice-looking style..
Community is what matters.

I'm really fortunate to finally have a community, even though it's small..
After, enough suffering, I'm even closer to having a possibly successful forum..

And really, it probably won't matter if I don't have a TLD.. people might just join, regardless.

I mean, the two active users I have now, may not be sophisticates, they may be somewhat obsessed with anime, but I don't care.

They're fun people to be around..

Probably the most sentimental stuff I've ever heard right here:
Yeah I'd rather have a small community with nice members then a big one with retards in it.

One of my user's reaction, to when I was thinkimg of closing the forum down:
I really hope you don't mean what you said on Niho about closing the site...

This really is a great place!
Even with no members, it's still a small little chunk of the internet I have the pleasure of being a part of and participating in.
I have grown accustomed to this small little area as being a place where I know everyone and everything that happens in it.
It's also the ONE place that I feel comfortable enough to show all of myself as exactly who I am, and not feel as if someone will treat me different because of it. (Tried it on Niho and a few other sites... didn't work too well.. >_<)

[hidden]However, If it's a matter of money, I think differently. Please close the forum if you can't pay for it anymore.

Or maybe it's management/time... I would love to help in any way I can!

Or possibly no members? I'm still here! So is Mats (Somewhat)![/hidden]

Please don't close the forum!
And I never thought about closing it down ever again

But, I must cherish this small community for as much as I can.
Maybe it'll get bigger.. or it may die yet again..

That's true. Just recently I had a problem with my host and my software so I opted to move to ZetaBoards (yes I know. >.< don't judge...) However, it's actually working out well right now for my members, well the few that have come back so far. They seem to like it being faster and snappier. Plus easier to use. Which is a plus. 🙂

Yes we had to start over from scratch and that's 2 years worth of work down the drain but i did keep my old forum open it's just in archive/read-only mode right now for when we wanna copy posts over and stuff. Well best to luck to you and your forum. 😀

I'm glad that someone else has figured this out. I don't care how "Web 2.0" or "Web 3.0" (I never know what it is these days) your site is; if there's no content or no community, it won't go anywhere.

I got this back in my RPing days, I was on a small community that didn't have many RPers but boy did we have fun.

In the end that's all that matters.

^ This.

Awwwwww I just looked at your forum and if I was a gamer I would join you!!

I'm glad you found the motivation again, Luigi~ That kind of member and support had saved me and my site over and over again, really. If you think I am exaggerating, my site has been through many hard times and several members' support was my savior. They remind you that as long as members are satisfied with your site, no matter how small it is, you are satisfied too.

It actually also returns to your original reason for building your forum in the first place.

All the best in the future. 🙂

I agree. The annoying, flaming members always scare people off, that's why on bigger sites people usually have a couple of visits before they leave sometimes. The bigger the forum, the greater chance of trolls and stuff, being more people.

Each to their own, but you'll all disagree once you own a larger forum. I'm glad you've found your passion though, keep up the good work.
