One classic rock opera is Jesus Christ Superstar which was made into a movie that was also considered another classic with the songs composed by Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber with lyrics by Tim Rice. Being a straight musical, Jesus Christ Superstar has no normal dialogue. The story is about the last days of Jesus which showed his arrest and crucifixion. Jesus is played by Ted Neeley and Carl Anderson played Judas Iscariot. Yvonne Elliman provided support as Mary Magdalene.
