Jim Tressel Resigns

Jim Tressel resigned as the head coach of the Ohio State football program yesterday morning. Luke Fickell will be the head coach for the 2011 football season. He was previously selected to be the interim coach during Tressel's five game suspension.

I'm not surprised by Tressel's resignation. The lingering stench from the scandal didn't appear to be one that Jim Tressel was going to be able to wash off himself anytime soon. It will be interesting to see if any NCAA sanctions are doled out by the NCAA to Ohio State University.
