I'm pretty tied up with what I want to be at a minute. I'd like to be a programmer, but I'd also like to teach computer science, as I don't think it is taught as much as it should be.
I just got a job in retail in the beginning of the month, which is sad because I've been looking for a job for two years...
It's minimum wage, which I am not too thrilled about, but it's a start.
I work as a night cashier in a petrol station. It's a pretty easy job, I basically sit behind my desk and serve 1-2 customers per hour. It gives me a lot of time to make money online. ๐
Realistically minimum wage is about the best people can expect without going into a specialist area (Jobs that require a degree). That said, you should be able to live quite comfortably on minimum wage if you're getting 35-40 hours a week. ๐
Surely mim. wage is like ยฃ6.00 or something? Most retail units will also increase your wage each year (only by 20p or so) and when you hit 18 it will go up too...mine jumped almost a pound up. Im currently unemployed as I have just quit university, but with 5 years working in a shop and the summer working with kids (Education First - good summer job) I think I can get back into retail easily ๐
I plan on getting a job while attending college, then after i finish college i want to either start my own company involving software development or get hired by a company.
