Well last night, I bought a XenForo license for my new forum that I will be opening up. Can't wait to jump into the addons in the market and shape my forum up.

For those of you who have XF, do you have any ideas for things I could get?

If you plan on buying an add-on, I suggest Post Ratings. Probably the best paid add-on on the Resource manager.

Thanks guys! I'll be sure to look at that add-on darth 🙂

Congratulations on the Xenforo purchase, should be exciting.

Yeah, I am looking forward to it! I love the ACP, it is just...auh-mazing.

Did you get rid of you xenforo license that you had for PS before you moved it back to IPB?

Wow... good work Sir or I'm Oh so proud of you or good for your license! Or Congratulations on it mate!

I suggest going with a chat script for sure (I don't use XenForo or run any forums). That way your members can have LIVE debates. Perhaps you should schedule these or find popular debate topics and schedule a debate for those (and the less popular ones don't have live debates).

>I know the thread was about addons, etc. But perhaps this would make you more comfortable spending cash on a chat script?

Congratulations on the license. I really enjoyed using the software when I was working with it.

As for add-ons, it depends on what sort of forum you're opening. Promotion ones are going to need some sort of currency and reputation, but others may only need whatever comes pre-packaged with the software.

Saint I actually don't join forums anymore unless they have thousands of posts & members & are very active.

It's not just your forums, it's just my rule of thumb due to time constraints of:
-work
-my business
-my family, friends & girlfriend
-my sobriety

The facebook and twitter thing im not sure if its a plugin or is already on xenforo.

That sounds good 🙂

How are you enjoying Xenforo? I have been thinking a lot about trying the software to see the administrative side.
