Has anyone here used FP's services to kickstart their new forum and has it actually helped by attracting new members/posters? JW.

I use their services all the time and couldn't be more satisfied if I tried. Really help a lot and I love to use them if we're really sitting on a dead end or if we need a quick pick me up.

Good to know. It's a great concept to fuel a starving new board...fingers crossed here. 😉

FP helps, but you can't use FP and pretend like it's some sort of genie service. You can't just post and ad, request a package, then do whatever the reviewer tells you to; then pretend like your forum will be super active. You have to advertise in multiple places, post like crazy on your own forum, and network on FP (not just post / use services). From my personal experience, FP is a great tool -- but the results aren't immediate. You won't just post for a week, then see your forum succeed. In the end, while FP in and of itself won't make your forum successful or active, it's one of the best ways to spend your time if you're looking for that success.

Best of luck. 🙂

I don't use this forum solely for promotion. I come here for discussions and overall community interaction and to chat with other fellow administrators and share my experiences with newer forum owners.

I can understand that. Do you have an active forum running?

Not anymore. I did last summer that went until about Christmas time. It got a little over 12k posts. 🙂

Nice! Hoping to get up to that and beyond, but getting members pulled away from their Facebook is like pulling teeth. LOL

I can understand that. 😛 The hardest part is just to get people to look at your forum that are interested. If you find the interested parties, that's when the actual fun starts to happen.

It's even hard getting friends to leave facebook. LOL funny stuff.

FP has some great services to help out new forums. But like others have said here already, you need to do a lot more than that. Like making a lot of posts yourself. Promoting your site where ever you can and engaging people you know will be interested in your site.

FP does not work miracles, obviously if you advertise here you're not going to get all of the 25,000+ members to register or hundreds of thousands of posts. But post exchanges, reviews, advertising services, packages and collaborations always help. FP has always got me backlinks by using it and some members, advice and most of my staff are from here.

FP is a great resource :great:
Don't expect miracles 😛

Indeed I've used FP to set up and start a forum and it proved very useful, I don't own any forums today but I did learn a lot!
