We aren't making a fuss, we're making a point. You're fussing about advertising. It's common sense. If you don't tell someone what you want, you can't blame them for disappointing you.

Also its not just signatures, its threads... you guys turned it into just sigs, The part that made me angry was the threads if you read the first post you will see, now you guys kinda changing my point.

You see, we didn't see anything wrong with that part, so we didn't comment on it. We don't allow advertising in threads here (except where allowed) so I'm taking it we agree with you about it completely. We were just confused as to why advertising in their signature isn't allowed. If you want no advertising, disable all links everywhere. Problem solved 🙂

you guys are actually right, thanks for being open... I have changed my rules... people can linkback with banners now... but advertisements in threads is still a ban. Thanks for the open thoughts...

Terrorz everyone here is trying to help by suggesting ways in which you can stop this from happening on your site, the best way when it comes down to exchanges is to categorically state in big bold letter that "signature links are not permitted" when you write your exchange details, that way there can be no mistaking the fact that it is against your forums rules. Others have also suggested ways to stop it if they do try to add a link by disabling links or putting a limit on sigs with say less than 20 posts or something......all are great ways to help you, not to criticise 😉
