Nope, I have in the past but I just keep and stay with default built into windows. WIth what's going on now I have not changed anything regards to that
It's a good antivirus. I have been using it for close to 8 years and I will continue to do so. All my devices(computers and phones) are protected by Kaspersky and the same goes to my family members as well and I often recommend it to my friend and colleagues.
It is, currently one of the best in fact. It's highly rated in terms of protection, low false positives and it's fairly light on machine resources.
The big issue now of course is it's considered to be in bad company e.g. Russia's Federal Security Service and it's been dumped left right and center by organizations and individuals who are worried about the security of their data.
I have no idea if there's a real risk but I wouldn't use it. Windows Defender provides the same level of protection and it's free so that suits me right now.
most I used at a time is Avast software and it's alright for free to use only, I just dislike it more than anything that it keeps asking you for more and paying you for this and that. At times you do not even need it LOL
But for free and you do not have a good router firewall, might as well, right?
I personally used to use Kaspersky all of the time, even my previous company I worked for used them for the work machines. However, once it was noted that for some file scanning actions (their cloud aspect) it would upload the file to a remote server, my work company did not renew their contract when it was up. Additionally, once the government decided that they cannot be used on any government related computers/machines, I went ahead and jumped ship to Trend Micro. MalwareBytes was great, but once they changed their pricing model from a one-time purchase to a recurring model, it didn't make too much sense to buy their premium product anymore (on demand scanning is nice, but they focus on malware vs. the whole package).
I heard it was decent, but once Russia was known for hacking the AV was tossed out the window some years ago by all retailers, with the war? This will most likely turn into a dead software.
