How do you keep yourself motivated with your websites/forums/startups?

For me, I want to have a better quality of living for me and my daughter. The first thing I do when I wake up in a morning is view this: http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for ... 53728.html (It's my homepage) and think if I work hard this could be mine. It might be just a dream and a far-fetched one, but it works for me 🙂

Financial freedom and other material possessions are certainly a great incentive and motivator. For me, it's definitely not the only thing though.

I enjoy creating something from nothing and making it grow. Nothing really more rewarding than that. Creating value for others and impacting their lives in some positive way is also what keeps me going.

Since my community is mostly a hobby, my motivation is connected with the response of the members. People liking what I do and bonding in my forums makes me really happy and moves me to keep giving my best. 🙂

Same here. 🙂

There are always new/fresh discussions to engage in (whether gaming related or not) and it's nice seeing all the members conversing with one another. I also like to help out and make it a better place for them. :great:

It can get very discouraging in the beginning, but I just keep thinking about the future to keep myself motivated in the now.

My motivation is visiting: http://www.smartpassiveincome.com/ and looking in the top right of the page. Seeing how much someone can earn from online based services is amazing. It makes me want to push forward and earn that sort of money and thus be able to afford a good life for me and my family.

For me what motivates me is having good music to wake up to every morning and looking at my goals (what I'm waking up for) then followed by a 40 minute excercise to make sure my body is in top condition and I have energy to handle my day.

I have a huge list of what motivates me though I thought I'd name just a few.

- having a luxurious home
- relationships with key business owners/service providers
- training in martial arts daily so I feel like a beast!
- travelling and making new friends experiencing different cultures
- exploring national parks being out in nature enjoying the serenity and tranquility.
- sitting in coffee shops and checking my laptop to see how much
profit I have made.

and many other things.
