I get that you want good keywords so when people search, you show up and don't get drowned out but how do you know what's a good keyword and how to use them?
I've used free keyword searches and it shows the most popular to least but how do you pick the best ones?
Long tail keywords is a phrase that is more than than two to five words. It’s a good idea to try to target short keywords and long tail keywords. Your main keywords might have a lot more search competition and will require a lot more backlinks to obtain a #1 or #2 google ranking, but the long tail keywords won’t require as many backlinks to rank #1.
You will have to check how much traffic the keyword is pulling and how much CPC is is receiving from advertisers. If you target high traffic keywords, you might not be able to rank because of tough competition.
