May I just ask why PR matters? PR on a forum is somewhat harder to raise than a site, you could have a poor PR 4 forum anyway, should be based on activity -🙂-

@Traygon No, PR even on a forum is based upon links on other sites. The more sites with the higher PR the PR you site will get. Our PR is currently 3 but should go up to 4 with the next update.

I know how a PR works, I work at an SEO consultancy. What I'm saying is, you only have your link on that site for 2 months, that is not enough. Your PR juice won't register. And that a PR means nothing if you aren't converting, PR is nothing but a rank to see how you are doing in the Google SERP's and how your back linkage is going. People are all of a sudden worried about their PR 24/7 and think they know everything, well they don't, links aren't everything and neither is PR.

Yes true. I have done some SEO work for a business. I do realize though that links do help as does activity.
