Well personally I think almost any domain name which doesnt have any specific meaning would work fine. For example some made up words like the following I think would work:
Zingor
Xamofest
Kyte I think would work fine but I can imagine a little confusion where people may think your site is about kites rather than a general forum.
I had a friend who once owned a site named Zanokin.co.uk and that was a web development forum so I am sure you can get away with these kinds of names for something general. I would have a search of the name on Google too just to check if theres any meanings to it that you have never heard of, for all we know "Zingor" could be an insult 😀
I would also check the .com site to make sure you know what you may have to deal with if theyre competing in a similar niche etc
But why should we decide the name of your forum/website?
If it was me, I would not opt into any of those names. Both are confusing; Kyte will most likely be remembered as Kite and Zingor would most likely be remembered as Zynga. Both cases, you will lose direct traffic.
But that's assumption. Who's to say the people who are deciding will actually use your forum? Chances are they are not, and the fact that only a very small portion will choose, you aren't looking at a great probability of people choosing.
Likewise, I provided a valid reason for not choosing. If one person can think like that, chances are that 1000 other people think the same. You can't cater for everyone, so there are some things which you need to make an executive decision.
