It's a federal holiday in the US that celebrates the workers. Back in the 1800s, workers toiled hard to make a living and feed their families, sometimes working every day for 12 hours. A lot of laws changed that including the organization of unions that gave the workers a voice against companies to who took advantage of them.
Today we mostly enjoy the day off, go to the beach, grill out and eat burgers and apple pie 🙂 'Merica.
I had to work the entire weekend. I just went to work then came home to eat, shower, and do some relaxing for a little bit before going to bed. Same thing I always do when I have to work.
