Lack Of Star Wars/Star Trek forums

Anyone else noticed how there's not a lot of Star Wars or Star Trek forums? At least not around here in any case.

I find that to be really interesting. Why is that the case? Are these fandoms just less prevalent in the forum space? Are they just using Discord and Reddit?

Just something I noticed.

I think most people use Reddit and other forms of social media for niche-specific entertainment.

there are not many, then again nothing stopping anyone from doing one up

I'm sure there were a few that existed back in the day. But they've probably unfortunately shut down and became a server instead or a subreddit.

There was.

For star wars there was TheForce.net that still exists, it runs Xenforo.
There was also Phatooine.net, which ran a modded version of phpBB2 back in the day dubbed hailBoards, which mimiced IGNBoards at the time, a pretty cool system & the forum itself was fun for the time. I'm pretty sure it's gone now though.
