Lafoona is the newest, and soon to be, the most exciting community around! We're here to have fun and to provide you with a friendly environment. Sit back, relax, and discuss whatever is on your mind. The description could go on, but experiencing the community for yourself is the best way to get a feel of it.

About Us
After over a month of hard work to perfect this forum, we're finally capable of saying that we're ready to release to the public. Sam and myself (Joshua) have been working very hard on the forum, adding new features and things for all you members to enjoy. With that being said, we're now kicking off a grand opening contest! Check it out on the site.

The theme is nice. However I suggest making the text at the top (Register, FAQ, etc) slightly bigger since it is relatively small compared to the rest of the text.

We've hit 2k posts! I'm very proud of the community, and our members rock for making this possible. It's only been a short time since we opened, and we're still growing and growing fast. :yes:

Along with our grand opening, don't forget our contest is still valid for entries. All you have to do is register, and you're automatically entered into the contest!

First - Invision Power Board 3.0 license (expires in October, never used). It will include a 25$ renewal fee that is paid so it's just like getting a new license, with a little extra time. This will also include a domain name of your choice.

The end date for this contest will be August 15th, 2010. This contest will go for exactly two months.

  • New features

    - Shoutbox
    I doubt you could have missed this one, but we've added a shoutbox to the forum home. After lots of request and a little bit of convincing to our host, we've gotten the permission to add the shoutbox.

    - Status Updates
    As you may or may not have noticed, we've had a poll about replacing the mood manager with status updates. We have had the majority of people vote for the status updates so we've gone ahead and added them. It's possible to change your status in your profile, on your posts or basically wherever you'd see it. There is also a history of your previous statuses on your profile page. Please note we've limited the amount of characters to 30 and removed the mood manager.

    - Social Forums
    A new one I recently added and most of you probably haven't noticed yet are Social Forums. This is a feature I really like, personally. What it does is it enables you to create a forum for your social group. Yes, that's right - your very own forum! If your group is a public one everyone will be able to post in your forum, however if it's private it'll be kept to yourself and the moderators. You will need a minimum of three members in your group before you are able to create one. You will also be assigned a moderator position over that forum.

    - Reputation System
    I have also enabled the default vBulletin reputation system. I have also modified the numbers it takes to advance in ranks. The reputation system takes stats from your profile (your posts, join date, activity and reputation level) and contributes them towards your "reputation power". The higher the reputation power you have, the more points you will give to someone when you award them reputation. The counters go up to 2500 and the link to add positive or negative reputation can be found on all posts, under a green "R" beside the report post button.

    - Spoiler Tags
    Last but not least we have added the requested spoiler tags to the forum. These tags have been requested by a few members in the modifications thread and have finally been added.
