I started taking French about six years ago in High School and now getting a "minor" in college in French. Since I'm majoring in Nursing, I'm also thinking about taking Spanish. It would be cool to be tri-lingual, and especially useful in the medical field. Should I take Spanish as well?

So what languages do you speak? Do you speak them fluently, casually, or barely?

I'm afraid the only language I can speak is English. Nothing else.

I speak Spanish casually, and barely speak French (I should more, beautiful language.) I speak English on the day-to-day, and Esperanto I use fairly often.

Not going to list my languages (besides the obvious English), but I'm tri-lingual. I've tried to learn Spanish, but haven't gotten that far with it.

I'm native Swedish speaker, school system here starts to teach English in third grade (about 10 years old), so I'd say I'm pretty fluent in English as well.

I did study some French in school as well, but since that isn't something I commonly use I don't really remember much of it, I know a few good phrases for being polite but that's about it (suspect my pronouncing would be horrible though).

I took 3 years of Spanish in high school. I would have taken 4 if I could have tolerated the teacher for another year. Then I tested into a 300 level Spanish class in college, but didn't have to take it so I didn't. Now I don't really remember much of it at all. Wish I did though.

Fluently I speak English and Tagalog. I am currently trying to learn French and I can understand a little bit of Spanish.

I took Latin when I was in middle school. It's a dead language so you don't have to worry about the words changing. This is why so many medical terms derive from Latin. If you learn Latin and end up in the medical field it will be useful :great:

If there are a lot of Spanish-speaking potential patients in your area, definitely. Being able to talk to patients in their language is a Godsent gift.

I can fluently speak Indonesian/Bahasa and English. I used to learn a bit of German, French, and Japanese but I barely retain anything aside from "Good morning. My name is ..." :yes: I know a few measly words in Latin because I learn medicine, but I don't think that counts. I'm trying to learn French and Japanese when I have nothing to do.
