Laptop Battery Grrrrrr!

It crapped out again! It’s just a couple years old, if that. They sure don’t make em like they used to! It’s a Dell Inspiron, I believe a 5755 model.

Our company uses all dell laptops and I find it the same they don't last.
My ROG is three years old now and I can still get 10 hours out of it.

Dell isn't known for their batteries sadly and none of them can be if the proper care isn't done for them.

I've had the same problem with the same or similar model. I replaced the unit with a cheap compatible from Amazon witch cost less than a third of the price of a Dell unit. It's still working, lasting longer than the original.

nothing hurting you just having it plugged into walls all the time now 😉 That's if you aren't moving around and just leaving the laptop in the same place.

My Laptop is like six years old now and the battery might able to last 90mins 🙂

I think they purposely make the laptop batteries last for a year or two so that they can make money off the replacements.

I actually wish they would make higher-end "desktop replacements" without batteries in them at all. Use the space for cooling, storage, etc., and give me a laptop that is lighter and less prone to battery failures. I can live without my laptop's 3hr battery life.

I have a Dell Inspiron too and likewise the battery life is dreadful.
