My old laptop broke, I did it on accident 😕. My new computer is a lot better, here are the specs;
RAM: 4.00 GB
Processor: AMD Athlon X2 II 220 Processor 2.8 GHz (dual core)
Hardrive:1 TB (1000 GB!)
I love it 😀

Cool, do you know what video card you have? It sounds like a good PC for playing most games.

Sounds like you dropped a pretty penny on that.

Oh boy, it was around the 500-600 dollar mark. Did I forget to mention that the processor was dual core? Yeah, but the basic way is just to keep it at 1000 GB, but a matter of fact that's what my computer has. 😉 Oh, and my video card is great for gaming, it runs very smoothly.

His video card is a 1GB Radeon 6770. That's the same one I have. 🙂 I know this because he's my brother. xD

Yeah, I suck at naming off computer specs. 😛 I have to go to Computer--> Properties first, lol. Its actually really good for its price, and its probably going to last me a long while.

I have to do that too. 😛 It's not that bad. xD

Anyway, nice specs you have there!

I like the graphics card, which probably was 50% of your cost.

In regards to those states, a dual core is fine, though not that great (they have quad cores out fyi).

When I built my computer it cost me $800 (this was last christmas) and that's without a montior but i love mine:

4 GB Ram
1 TB HD
ASUS Radeon 5850
Phaneom II 970 (quad)

So, I am jealous of your graphics card for sure!

fyi they dont' classify 1 TB = 1000 GB, that's false and always will be and computer experts always say it's 1024 or whatever division of 2 it is.

I'm sure that his motherboard will allow for an upgrade to Phenom II eventually. 🙂

Needing 1 TB is outrageous. I am not sure why my mother got me so much.

It's always great to have as much hardrive space as possible. You never know how much you're going to need.

Hehe, it really is affordable for a computer this good. Dual core does me good for the time, all though I may upgrade soon. Also, my computer has 1000 GB, so just note that. 🙂
P.S. That is a good computer you have, all though it is quite pricey.

Outrageous? Free leech on a certain private tracker would leave me with a 1 TB hd completely filled up in a few days, if my ISP didn't have any limits

Also Hiocoie was partially right saying his hard drive is 1000 GB, manufactures count hard drives with 1 GB = 1000MB while your computer will see it as 1 GB = 10024MB, that's why a 1 TB hard drive shows up around 909GB or something like that.

Yeah, its about 980 GB. I can't find myself with enough hardrive space. When I had an old 80gb computer, I found myself having to sit through pop-ups when it started. It was also slow and had XP, this was about a year ago when I had that computer. It lasted a really long time, but I won't go on about that.

Yeah, my laptop broke recently as well. That's actually pretty impressive for the price range. Nice job!

Thanks, I think it was totally worth the purchase. It does what I want it to do perfectly. I'm waiting to upgrade to a quad core, I have a dual core.

Wondering if I'll finally buy/build a new PC this year, been meaning to since last year but I'd want to get some decent specs in it.

I think it would be a good idea to get some better specs depending on how your PC acts, or unless you're going to build one.

Yeah probably gonna build one, since I've been on a laptop for the past 2 1/2 years. Mostly just need something to run recent games well as well as some other things related to video. Have about $700 right now but just waiting a bit more since my bday is in a few weeks 😛.
