What is the largest promotion forum? I just realized that there forums with over 600 million posts (gaiga) so that means Forum Promotion is technically a baby forum. So what is the largest promotion forum?

I think it is just a problem of money
If you have the money you can build such a big community as gaia
I am 100% sure it was money (or any other revenue) since it does not really have any 'special' abilities compared to other sites and it is not even responsive

No big demand for them. You can fit all the people that want to use them in a couple of forums.

Most close down before even hitting 100,000 posts. They seem to be created by people who want a successful forum and NOW. Truth is, it doesn't work like that. You need lots of time and money to raise a forum of that magnitude, which most people do not have and quickly realize this. DP has been around for a very long time and to match it's success you would probably need to stick at your forum for an equally long amount of time and invest thousands of dollars into helping it grow.

Most people who create promotion forums do not have thousands of dollars or the patience to stick it out for years on end. The closest I have seen to another decently successful promotion forum is PhpBBCommunities, Which fizzled out after being sold and then was deleted by it's 3rd owner.

The forum on Gaia isn't the main part of the site, it's a 'side thing'. Gaia is an online game, plus, a very large amount of posts in the forum are just 'bump' and I mean millions of the posts.

I agree, its like every month I see a new promotion forum by one guy and the next month he has a new one. The first time I saw DP I was so stunned by its success.
