Do any of you use the extension "Last Pass"?

I do. It's a pretty powerful password manager that saves all of your passwords and you can group them in categories, generate secure passwords, autofill form info, and much more .

No, I don't use Last Pass because the overall idea of it is insecure. It stores everything on their server's but it is encrypted. They recently hot hacked and master passwords along with a few other things (forgot?) got took in the process. It secure, but the idea of it isn't.

I personally use KeePassX (locally stores your usernames/passwords on your PC) and keep the database on my USB and my Backup USB.

I used too but then I got annoyed with it, and I didn't like the fact that it was being stored on a server. It's not "secure" - it's just harder for hackers to get into it.

And storing it on the hardrive has its perks but if your website crashes you might as well forget it. 😛

Right now I store everything via Google Chrome, it's not secure but it remembers the login information and all I need to do is hit enter, and it's on all my chrome devices so it works. 😛

I don't like the idea of storing my password on anything other than the option given in the browser (which I'm not too sure is safe) but I like the convenience. lol If I don't have my password autosaved it is in my notebook where I jot down all of my passwords.

In the hack they didn't get the master passwords, iirc. It wasn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be when they think about LastPass. (by the way there is no space in that company name)

I love it. Their servers are extremely secure and I save all of my passwords and I'm able to access them from anywhere (except my T-Mobile store for some weird reason) so I'm happy with them. 🙂 I pay for the premium subscription so it is nice having all of the features and not having to think about what my passwords are and such.

I also don't receive their emails when they send them out. I check my spam and everything and when it says "check your email as you are at an unverified location" to protect me from being hacked, I don't get anything in my email so I have to wait until I get home from the T-Mobile store (or wherever I'm at) to login. It's weird.

I use it only because I like to be able to log into things quickly/ I hate having to retype my password alot and since I'm the only one that uses my laptop I don't have to worry about any nosey family members logging into my stuff. 😉

Yeah, but that isn't what really matters... Even if the master passwords were stolen I mean so what? Data like that is encrypted.

Refrain to this please:
The intruders did take LastPass account email addresses, password reminders, server per user salts, and authentication hashes. The latter is what’s used to tell LastPass that you have permission to access your account.

They took all the things that is needed to take control over you LastPass account easily.

I don’t. 😛 I keep all of mine in Chrome, and generally write down the passwords to important stuff. I generally want my passwords to be in as few databases as possible.

I use it for only passwords for social networks and forums. More important passwords (bank account, webhost, etc.) are kept somewhere in my bedroom.

I rely on LastPass to store all my credentials, as well as banking details and other sensitive information. Though I have it backed up on other services and locations as fail-safe measures.
