Late Christmas deliveries?

Everything I've mailed off or ordered and have shipped have been late this year. EVERYTHING!

Amazon lost a package I was sending to my dad for Christmas (they say it was due to a snow storm) and tomorrow I can request a refund and reorder. What are the odds it will make it there before Christmas? I ordered it on Cyber Monday!!

That's really unfortunate. I've had more deliveries in the last month than I've had in the last few years due to a complete refurb of our house. Even Evri, the UK's worst delivery company by a country mile, only failed once so I've been rather lucky to say the least.

That's great! Are you all done with your deliveries now?

The rest of my stuff will be e-gift cards and then I have to go pick up a cow's knuckle for my daughter's bulldog and Bailey's Irish Cream Truffles for my daughter's stocking. That's local so it's easy.

I too know how bad they are, but luckily I've had no issue with them...

This is another reason why I do my Christmas shopping early.

The main reason I started doing it early was I already work in customer service so I already have to deal with the crazy Christmas shopping at my job for 40 hours a week. I don't want to get back out in that mess on my days off.

But the other reason is that if I do any online shopping, I don't have to worry about my stuff not getting here before Christmas (unless they don't send me the item at all). I ordered an item one year for my hubby and it was suppose to get here by Christmas but it didn't. I didn't get it until well into January. It even missed his birthday in January. At least he got it but still.........

Sending to the PO Box would have arrived in the new year! But it can get there at his home by tomorrow. The reason I send to the PO Box is so that things don't get stolen.

That's really annoying that this happened @Twinkling Tinsel, I really hope they'll come in before Christmas! I just purchased the last gift I needed to get for my wife, it says it'll be in by Monday so I hope that still is the case. I've had delays in the past, but this year I haven't had any. I even had one gift come in early too.

No, I didn't order my item from Amazon. I ordered my item and it gave me a delivery time that would have meant it would show up by Christmas, that's why I went ahead and ordered it. I don't know what happened.......I just figured that my item just got lost in the shuffle because it was Christmas time when there were a bunch of stuff being delivered.

I normally do my shopping in person to avoid the hassle of ordering online and having it shipped to me.

I did order some skate laces from Amazon though that were due to be delivered yesterday and now won't come until today. They're in the area, so hopefully that's true, but it also has me worried because usually when my stuff from Amazon gets delayed, it doesn't actually show up.

Yeah! We should expect late delivery this season due to high congestion. A lot of people are buying things here and there.
