This is the original mockup is photoshop. http://i48.tinypic.com/34pgeww.jpg. It was a class project so I thought I would take it a step further and code it to surprise my teacher. This is what I have coded. http://i46.tinypic.com/34ytul5.jpg

What do you think? What to add, what type of code to use instead?

Not a fan of it at all, I'm sorry to say.

The colours don't work and the spacings are all messed up.

Good for a beginner though.

That's why I said it's good for a beginner.

If I may suggest something, maybe play around with colours and find ones that both you like and blend in well.

The only way to learn is to practice and muck around consistently 🙂

I have designed a knew one and I will post it up soon. I like it and think its pretty good.<br /><br />-- Sat Dec 22, 2012 11:30 pm --<br /><br />Here it is. I mainly have the header and side menu done. I'm working on extending the side bar down to the footer without having a <li> in the way. I'm working on the header because the rest is a pain and I'm trying to learn a bit more html to finally clear things up.

This is exactly what I mean. You've turned very simple colours, mixed them and kept it simple, and look how good it looks!

Well done!

Thanks 😀. This took me a while longer to complete. I'm going to take off the sidebar.
