Up-and-Coming Sensation
A little behind the scenes with the latest banner...
I had to get creative with this one as there were issues with the main picture not quite fitting the banner, then when re-sized it left gaps around the rest of the banner spoace. Not to mention the original blue wall background official poster was very close up any way. So I had to google "Blue wall" which led me to so very generic look pictures and walls. None of them Has that crumbling, flaking paint wall style like in the actual picture, until by chance I found one that was a blue Moroccan wall that was very similar.
So that's what I started looking up to use as a backdrop "Blue Moroccan wall", to match it up close as possible:
The actual picture was a wall where the top of the wall was white, and the lower half blue, fortunatley the image was large enough to use as a backdrop which I could then add the gun barrel to one side:
I then had to add a section of wall with a gradient to blend the old wall with the gun barrel:
Blend in the reduced original picture:
The 2 out of the gun logo was made separatley, and any text was already on my layered template as a seperate layer. Suffice to say I will be sad to see this banner go at the end of the month. I also accidently ruined my temple. I save in 3 sizes - the standard, a 600 pixel width size, and a 398 pixel signature size, I guess I forgot to un-size it back before saving it, thus the next time I opened photoshop it was ruined. Any sizing it back to regular size made everything blurry.
Not to worry though as I made a third layered version of the template, this time the default now starting at twice the size (Which then get sized down to regular size after the final is done) for clearer, crisper future versions.
